Special guitar this. We have had dozens of Les Pauls over the
years and the Gibson Custom Shop are always far superior to the normal factory
runs, especially the reissue models. The '57 version is the cream of the crop as
far as producing the classic tone and feel of pure Les Paul is concerned.
This Gibson however goes one step further with the addition of
a calibrated set of Stormy Monday Alnico II pick-ups, hand
wound at the Bare Knuckle factory.
Finished off with a rare set of genuine
'60s vintage Bumble Bee capacitors and an aged solid mahogany body the
tone and sustain is to die for. This is one stunning guitar.
Low action, buzz free and in excellent condition with no
noticeable fret wear or buckle rash. The bindings have that mellowed, warm cream
colour that cannot be replicated by the latest trend of factory aged so called '
relic ' models. We have gold p/up covers available if wanted but we prefer to
leave the bridge Zebra uncovered, your choice.
This Les Paul is the real article, one of a kind and
probably the best we have ever played. It isn't the cheapest around but you get
what you pay for and this is a true gem.
